I have a 2001 formula with a functional ram air hood. I also have everything that is included in the slp 400 hp performance package. Along with the package I also have done almost every free mod. I am in the process of getting full diamond subframes with bmr torque arms. I am running 17 in. 275/40/z17. It is an automatic as well. Anybody have an idea of what I should be able to pull?
slp longtube headers, slp y-pipe, high-flow cats, superchips programmer, slp 85mm air sensor, slp loudmouth exhaust, ws6 hood, slp cai, kn air filter, slp high-flow lid, smooth bellows, tb bypass, subframes, lca's, panhard bar, torque arm.

That is interesting. I was thinking lower. I had a 2000 camaro z-28 before this one. I ran a best time of 13.6 with just a kn air filter and borla cat-back. Also including the slp air lid. The 2000 camaro was also an automatic and convertible. This formula is not a convertible. I will hopefully be able to get the formula to the track in the next 3 weeks. I will keep you guys posted on the numbers.

your tire size should read: 275/40R/17 z is the speed rating..it does no preceed the rim diameter on tire size coding. properly shown: 275/40R/17 Z

i think you might hit a low 13

what all did you get from slp? im real familiar with them. what ram air hood do you have? keep in mind, ram air does not even start untill speeds of 80mph+

The hood is a fiberglass replica of the ws6 hood.

12 second car without any doubt. Just go to the track and figure out how to launch your car and get some seat time. Don't get frustrated if you turn out some bottom 13's a few times(which I doubt). Keep practicing and you will get a 12 second slip.

Thanks for the replies. I will run it a bunch of times and see what happens. I also dont think I should have a problem dipping in to the 12's.

An LS1 should be a mid 13 sec car easy without any mods. Some have even gone 12s stock. You shouldn't have any problem hitting the 12's assuming you're at least an average driver and can get some traction.

Yeah I figure I should easily be able to pull in to the mid 12,s. This is my third 4th generation f-body. I am pretty good at driving it. Thanks for the replies.
