yeah by the looks of THIS PHOTO they have a problem with the tread separating.

Would be great to have a tire that you wouldn't worry about blowing it. Not to mention with it being lighter and able to corner very good ... they'd be a boon to car entusiasts everywhere ... but the treadlife would seen to be dependent upon the thickness of the tread

I hope they make 'em 26 inches, chrome, and spinning even when they're not moving...then I'll pop 'em on the "whip".

In all seriousness though...it would be kinda interesting/weird to see "tweels" on the cars of the future. I wonder what kind of traction you would see with those? Tread patterns? Tweel slicks and drag radials?

I'd like to know the story on that skidsteer tweel, before I'd make a comment. Looks more like a penetration to me. Even a regular tire sometimes has a hard time standing up to the abuse of construction equipment operators. I can't tell you how many tires I've had to change at work on backhoes because someone was careless.

thats not a tread seperation, thats an impact break of the belt package.....

its also evident from the position of the viens down to the center core rim mount area.

thats one of the real problems, they are too sticky right now... for use on suv's and vans, roll over potential is real serious...

I think they should cover the sidewalls and make'm look like normal tires id never put them on my cars.
