Nice car..... but what you are faced with is the narrowing of the market for the car. Many people who are looking for a nice older f-body generally look for one that is bone stock or as close a possible. The reason is to try to get one that has had as little racing or abuse as possible. The mods will make the car attractive to a much smaller group of people and it's tough to get the dough back out of the car that was spent on those mods. For example, my 93 is bone stock, a new transmission and clutch last year and I picked it up for under $2000. That's not the only deal I came across either. The market is full of nicely kept f-bodies and it's a buyer's market.

What exactly is the asking price anyway?

hes not sure, but the supercharger and fuel managment and all of thoe parts have less tahtn 40 miles on them. car has never been to the track. and garage kept. he hasnt even drove it yet this year.

Why is he selling if all the parts are so recent? He must have been planning on keeping it within the last 300 miles or so.

I think what Joe means is, when people see any kind of mods on a car (short of exhuast) they immediately think the car was driven hard at some point. Even if it never was, it's just human nature to think that someone wouldn't go through the trouble of buying and installing mods, and never drive the car hard at least a couple times.

There is a small crowd, which Joe eluded to, that looks for cars that are already modded in some ways. You just need to find where that crowd goes. Ebay is a good place to start.

I agree with Joe - shrinking market and scepticism about why he may be selling it so soon (mileage-wise) after adding some major mods.

On that note, you say the car is in Royal Oak?

Well, In August you're not going to find a better collection of potential buyers anywhere else in the counrty than at the Woodward Dream Cruise!!! For crimminy sakes man, take that thing out on Woodward during that week and if you can't sell then, you might just consider keeping it.

                        Good Luck.

Exactly. Potential buyers are less likely to make an offer if there's not a ballpark figure posted. Most people don't want to offend anyone.
