    Got a noise ?????

    I have a garring sound that almost sounds like a bad power steering pump would make, but do not
    think it is the pump because when i turn the wheel the noise stays the same.The noise goes
    up with engine speed.An can not hear it going down the hi way.Has anybody had this sound
    or know what it could be. Oh 94 Formula LT1 it is something running off the surpintine belt.
    Would like any help I can get. Thanks Blazer

    remove the belt and see if it stops.

    the belt only drives 3 things. If you determine it is definitely an accessory you can use a stethescope to determine which one it is.
