Am i the only person here that doesn't drink? I don't even drink on special occasions. 19 years old and never drunk. I think i'm going to start a counter- X amount of days sober and counting

Imagine, if you will;

You are in a Central Asia Republic
Having dinner with some friendly locals who speak Russian
After dinner the Vodka bottles come out.
The custom is for everyone to give a toast
Everyone drinks a full shot for every toast
I remember the 4th, 5th but not the last 4
I woke up with the worst hangover possible
I spent the day riding cross country on terrible roads
In the back seat of a very crowded car
without AC, and the people could use some hygine work
I swear I drank at least 2 gallons of water.

I think we've all been there and done that. That's exactly why I don't do that anymore. A few beers on occation, but that's it.

i dont have a drink problem. go out get drunk fall over no problem. the worst hang over was from drinking 2 bottles of jack daniles neet in 3 hours (having a bit of a bad time) i am never gona touch wiskey ever again. on anouther ocasion my drinking my self silly got me mentioned in a magisine (classic american) after drinking half a bottle of potchine (irish moon shine 110%) pluss 7 or 8 pints of strong larger i got into a conversation/argument with a camaro owner about the fact that imao firebirds are beter cars than camaros which lasted about 2 hours and the assitant editor of the mag got involved in the convesation. the mag article whent somthing as folows" any one who witnesed the conversation between camaro racer biff baliey and pontiac drivers club member russell could no fail to be impresed not with the verbal dexterity used by both as the each campained to merit ther chosen ride but impressed and or amazed that both men were able to stand" i think i won the argument but i can not rember alot about the rest of weekend

wellllllllllllllllllll best way to cure a hangover is bologna sammiches and beer. pls dont think im an alchoholic, im not, i rarely drink liqour, friday was the first time in about 2 years. i do have a beer or 2 a couple times a week with my husband b4 we go to bed. im 23, pls dont think im in high school, lol

Oh my goodness! You're OK! Bologna alone (let alone hangover) would make me gag---glad it helped you. Prob the beer that made it stay down.

Never thought you were in h.s., you just need to drink less, more frequentlly You know, spread it out---That way, you won't go over board.

I'm 27 and rarely ever drink. I've never been drunk in my life, but I've been feeling pretty good. I can't stand the taste of beer so when I drink it's usually liquor or mixed drinks. It's pretty sad, our house has a wet bar but it never gets used! It's pretty well stocked though.... just in case

Next time you drink vodka. Make some rocket fuel ( gatoraide and vodka). That mix has kept me hangover free for years. Well... that is until the Yeagermister gets started.

Worst, First, and Only time I got drunk ... Backwhen I was living in FL back in 1999, for new years. I was drinking Jose Cuervo Gold Tequila shots with my neighbor (Retired Army - One of the 22 Iran embassy hostages back in '79 when the Shaw was over-thrown) and decided to get drunk for giggles and grins to get a feel of what being druink was like. After a while and the bottle was getting empty, everything was spinning, I stumbled back home, grabbed a big metal bowl. A few hours later, at 4 in the morning, I started puking every hour or so, would drink a glass of water. Let's just say that I never got out of bed the next day and it took well into the afternoon to stop barfing. Freinds checked on me regularly to seel if I was doing allright. Tequila is the worst thing to get waisted on, period!

It took me 5 years after that to even pick up Tequila again as just the smell brought back the memory of my little experiment .

Never again I shall get that drunk!

i know its wrong before you all start on me but my 5 year old son got drunk by accendent the other weekend. we were at a car show for the weekend and had taken lots to drink including some alcoholic milkshakes (vodka) very moreish but 5.5 % anyway my youngest kept coming up to me asking me to open the bottles for mummy which i did as they were very tight. later on in the day we noticed my boy stagering and sluring his words when i asked him what he had done he said he drunk some milkshake i later found out he had had about 5 bottles. the little git slept well that night and no sign of a hang over in the morning (he must take after his mum)

I had three very bad alcohol-induced experiences...

1) 1999 - My stag party. I had been drinking beer all night. I was feeling very good, but not anywhere near drunk... until someone gave me a three wise men (Jack, Johnny, and Jim). That about did it for me. I'll tell you something... You really take stock in your life when you're lying face down near a dumpster in a strip club parking lot.

2) 2000 - New Years Eve/Day. The brilliant minds that are my friends and I decided we would toast every time zone that hit the millenium starting at 8:00, with a double-shot of lemon drops (straight vodka followed by sucking on a sugar coated lemon slice). This was going fine until 10:30 rolled around. That's when we realized we had forgotten the time zones that hit 30 minutes apart. By 2:00 am I was basically puking through my nose.

3) 2004 - Had a work party here in the office last November. There are only four of us in this office, but we invited family and friends up for a small party. We are the world's most-used alcohol database. A co-worker and I decided to do a "power hour". One shot of beer every minute for an hour. It doesn't sound bad, but trust me... by the 50 minute mark, you'll wish for death, especially if you already had a couple beforehand.

I stick to beer, as I can hold it much better than mixed drinks. I am in no way a big drinker. These just stand out because of how I felt afterward... And I never drive when I've had too many. Never.
