  • I can recommend AfterthoughtsAuto.com

Afterthoughtsauto.com is one of the advertisers on this Board and I can personally vouch for their quality.

I ordered a set of fuel rail covers from them for my '98 TA. They fit perfectly, even with the factory EGR tube and an MBA throttle cable cover.

Afterthoughtsauto.com has been great through the entire process.

I will post pics on my Web page later this week.

Thanx! I've been wondering about them & haven't really heard anything neg.

They have an SS red/white grille that would look awesome on my car, but haven't made up my mind yet. Thanks for your .02!

You will need to follow the included instructions carefully, but there are a few "tricks" that will ease installation.

Remember, you cannot install these covers if you have a BMR strut tower brace. A Hotchkis STB is not a problem, though.

On the passenger side of the engine, make sure that you slide the cover under the large convoluted tubing in the back of the engine. It will be necessary to lift the tubing up and slide the cover under.

On both sides of the engine, it will greatly ease installation if you disconnect the two AIR tubes. You'll need a 10mm socket wrench to do this. Be especially sure to put a towel or something under the tubes in case you should drop one (or more) of the bolts.

A second set of hands is useful at times to lift wires and such out of the way.

You may have to bend the dipstick tube quite a bit. Don't be alarmed as they are very flexible. Turns out there is quite a bit of variation from car to car.

It just takes a little time. Figure about an hour.

Oh, and don't be too surprised if you scratch the rear of the covers a bit when you place them under the cowling. No biggie as you can't see the rear of the covers that far back anyway. Just exercise a little care and you should be fine.
