  • another exhaust manifold bolt

I finally started the header install with the help of Steve. Well, it turns out as I was loosening the #5 bolt on the driver's side (closer to front bolt by #7 exhaust port), it "fell off" I didn't even give it any stress, or even get the socket in...so it must have broke before hand. I'm going to try a right angle drill attachment: http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=43623
I know I'll be really careful though, as it seems a few have screwed up the heads doing this. I guess we don't gain any progress, I'll just ship them out to Lloyd Elliott and get a good port job. But that'll set me back almost $2 grand including all the "accessories" involved in the head removal/install.

Nope, 3rd owner of the car since '99. The previous 2 didn't know anything about cars whatsoever. It's amazing the motor still screams. The biggest reason I bought it was because the previous owner had a warranty from when he bought it. It actually carried over into my name. It covered anything and everything mechanical. So I thought I couldn't lose with that. He paid a couple grand for it too. He ended up selling the car because his grandfather died and he inherited a Caddy. He couldn't afford the car anymore. Sorry to go off on the tangent lol
