Do these headers utilize the catalytic converter or does it do away with it?
That looks like a really good deal.

Its a good idea to match the headers to motor work. In stock trim 1 5/8 are fine. I have that size in JBA's. Because I plan on doing motor work (head/cam/intake) I will need to bet larger ones. I say this to give you food for thought.

Things to look for are thick flanges and for sure get them coated. The ones you show look good. Also look at SLP, AS&M, JBA's

i like the jet hot longtubes. they are 499 jsut for the headers though. they are the hooker stlye header and for a hooker y-pipe it is like 149 just for that. so that is 625 plus like 50 dollars shiiping to my house, that is too much for me.

            who has pacesetter headers here?

what about these rk sport headers? they said they are mids

The RK sport headers are a clone of the AS&M headers. A mid-length design with 1 3/4 inch primaries.

For the amount of headaches it will take to install I would not want to bother with a 1 5/8 primary header if you plan on other motor work later.

It does surprise me that they are 1 5/8 primaries. I always assumed the long tubes were all larger primaries. Goes to show you to check the details.

I've heard a lot about BBK, and I can't remember anything good. I don't know about the quality of the RK sports but if they clone the AS&M's they should flow real well.

see if i had the money i would get the jet long tubes for 499 and then get a hooker y-pipe for 149. thats a 650 dollar combo.

heres what i have broke it down to

jethot long tubes with hooker y-pipe- 650

rk sport header midlenght and y-pipe-490

bbk and y-pipe midlegnth is 479

pacesetter long tubes with y-pipe is 529

now i know i can get better prices on ebay. the 650 is a little much for me. if you guys had to choose which one out of the last 4?

94-95 style mac mids. Don't listen to the 1 3/4 argument. The 1 3/4's might be a little better for huge HP applications, but there are a lot of people running 10's with that header. I would go with a midlength header too. LT's will scrape, shorty's suck. I like the design of the MAC's. Easy to install, and easy to change out plugs and wires. The as&m's will make plugs/wires a weekend project.
