  • Stereo Headunit question

The 2 & 3 preset lights don't light up on my headunit. Is there a way to change out the bulb? Or should I just find a good used one?

I'm apt to replace it since there's a wear spot on the seek button, but would rather wait.

I've replaced bulbs in mine. Most stereo repair shops sell them and they solder in.

Is this something that is easy to do yourself or would you recommend a stereo repair shop to do it?

A steady soldering hand and patient disassembly is all it takes..

Yeah, dude replace them all. I found pics on a camaro site, don't remember which one, but this guy replaced all the lights in his radio with these whilte light bulbs. It looked killer man. You might as well replace them all, right?

Correct. Just take the radio apart carefully, locate the light assemblies and solder new bulbs in. It's not that hard, I actually found it kinda fun but I'm strange that way.
