  • Tire info?

    hey there,

Im looking for detailed info on a particular tire brand I just bought. They were a good deal, but I cant find anything on them anywhere. The closest I have gotten is 'no up to date info currently'.

I was wondering if KenC or someone has some good resources at their disposal to help me out?

    The tire: Visa, VK-50G HRB

    Thanks in advance!

    -George

I bought a set of those for the '94 Z28 I just aquired. They look nice & have been wearing well. Traction seems OK for a cheap street tire. Rain traction is very good.

I'm not sure, but I think they may be made by Firestone (I just picked that up through the grapevine... not sure about it).

Not a bad tire for $50.00 each (245/50/16)

OH, no, sorry- They weren't for my T/A. Heck, that would be a STELLAR deal on 245/50/16's! They are actually for my wife's Hyundai. We have aftermarket chrome wheels on it. The size of the tires in question are 205/50/15. They're H rated "performance" tires. Im just trying to find more info out about them, to see if I'll be needing to swap them out for the factory tires/wheels for winter.

      Thanks Gord!

I found following on a website:

Falken Tire Corporation also distributes the VISA Associate brand. These low profile, high performance tires are available in the most popular sizes!

        http://www.falkentire.com/html/index.htm

Under Tires / Archive it lists the VISA tires but doesn't mention who makes them.
97 Trans Am A4 more or less stock (Mods: WS6 Ram Air with Fernco & K&N, 12 disc CD changer, power antenna, SLP Fan Switch, LS1 Aluminum DS, Borla Cat back, McCord power plate, Spohn tower brace, Sirius, HID fog lights)

Hey, thanks! That is definitely getting me closer- Though it still doesn't tell me the nature of the tire other than 'high performance'. 'High performance', is a very relative term- especially when referring to a 105 hp Hyundai 2002 Hyundai

Thats the best info Ive found yet, along with 1st hand reports from Gord.

          Thanks folks!
