ok..i know some of yall will drift back to the "kerm thing"..but.....

    photo op!

after tennis this morning, then the gym this afternoon, i still said "gotta cut the grass so i can play all day tomorrow..."

well.....im almost done.... and im weed whacking near the outlet for our sump pump and saw this poor little guy ....(yes..thats how dry and hot its been here) for some water to come rushing out of the outlet which is about 40 yards from the house....LOL... wants it in the face i guess! LOL.

so i got the digi cam and took these:

then i went in, got a pan full of water, and went down and "fed" the sump pump for the poor guy......

    he's happy now

Stafford can't be that dry, can it?

Everything is kermit-colored green around Washington. The official (Reagan National Airport) rainfall amount is 5" above normal for the year so far.

I've only had to water the garden once here in Kensington, and that was back in June. I'm having to mow the lawn every 5 to 7 days because it keeps raining.

But, it's very touching that you are so kind to our web-footed friends, Lupus-man.

We don't have that problem down here. As of the end of June, Mobile was +20 inches for the year, and since we are already the champion of wettest city in the US (overtook Seattle about 5 years ago), that makes us soaked. Pensacola is +30 for the year. All of this due to 643 hurricanes in the last 2 months alone
