Well, turns out the bearings are shot. $709 for everything. Ugh! Hopefully she'll be back tomorrow though. Thanks for the help guys.

Yeah it does. Hopefully UPS does their freakin' job and they deliver the bearings today. If so, I'll have her back tonight...I hope .

I thought about that, but all I need to is to jump from the frying pan into the fire. This way, at least I know how good everything in the rear is and what may need to be replaced. Thanks for the suggestion though

So, while I'm on it, what's the break-in period on new bearings in the rear? Is there any hazard on taking her to freeway speeds as long as I'm not accelerating hard? Thanks guys

Well, leave it to UPS to screw up everything. The shop didn't get the parts till 4 PM, 1 hr. before they close. We had to make the trip to Fresno in the Jeep...no O.D. and the cruise doesn't work...and hotter than a mother. Ugh! Oh well, we made it back safely, so no biggie. And she comes back tomorrow . Cue up the Imperial March!!!

Glad to hear man...nothing like taking her out after not driving for a while. I actually drove my car yesterday for the first time in two weeks. I wanted to keep her garaged until everything I am doing right now was done....but my urges tend to take over from time to time

                    No soup for you!!! lol

Eh, it happens man. At least its fixed. On the bright side, they did say everything else looks to be in good shape, so I know the rear is in good condition. Maybe its time I look at a rear end girdle for it again. Couldn't hurt, right? It would help the bearings...right? lol

Urges? Why, what ever are you talking about? I cannot imagine having such a ghastly thing. lol

Felt good to row the gears again. Plus the guy told me "Man Steve, I love the exhaust on that car."
