  • Spark Plug Tricks...

    Hey everyone,
Just wondering what kind of tricks you guys use to remove/replace your spark plugs. I broke one on my 91 RS so I am just going to replace all of them. I have shorty headers, so space is at a premium!

Depends.... I have many tools that help.... A spark plug socket with a traditional hex end, ratcheting boxed end wrenches, traditional socket sets with flex joints and extensions. With patience and tools, you'll find a combination that works.

The problem on 6 of the 8 plugs I have to do is that the header tube runs right over the spark plug. You cant even get a spark plug socket over the plug. & a wrench wont fit down far enough on the plug to get to the hex part of it.
