Just wanted to pop in and say hello.

I'm obviously the new guy on the block. (Relatively speaking) Currently live in Texas and if anyone else is in this huge state, check out http://www.TexasFBody.org I've been running that site for a while, and am working on tracking down all the local groups and providing links to them.

Send 'em my way if they are in my neck of the woods.

Does that ported hood provide better performance over the Ram Air or is it just for looks?

Thanks for the compliments on the car.

The hood has functional ram-air, and functional heat extraction through the skeleton. It flows better and cools better than the stocker, but I'd never reccomend anyone spend the $ on it like I did.

The gel coated hood was $960 + S&H, then it took 40 hours of body work to fix the flaws then installation and painting. Cost over $2k after it was all done.

I'd get the knockoff version from U.S. Exotics for 50% the price and 2x the quality than the place that makes the origional (Mecham) like I have.

Buddy of mine has the same hood and their spoiler and it's full of cracks. Mecham's fiberglass work sucks, but it guarantees I have a rare hood.
