  • Photos (illustrations) of the next gen ('08) GTO!

Check out the article in Autoweek.... it seems to read that the gto will cease production after '06... hadn't heard that. Come back in '08 looking better, possibly as a 4 door.

Autoweek claims that photo is very, very close to the views of the next gen GTO they've seen. They do say that what it doesn't show is the possibility of rear-hinged rear doors.

I hope GM doesn't go that route. The front of that car looks like a Mitsubishi Diamante.

That car is even worse then the current jelly-bean in production today. The only good news is that the jelly-bean North American Monaro "GTO" will probably end in 2006. Who knows if it will come back after that.

It reminds me of a cross between a Mitsubishi-something or another, and a Mustang.

Did ya'll spot the link to the article about Pontiac's declining sales, towards the bottom of that page? They say that almost all of GM's divisions enjoyed an increase in sales during this summer's employee pricing for everyone deal....all except Pontiac. Pontiac's sales dropped by 14%. Gm needs to get off their butts and get some good rear-drive sedans out to compete with the rest of the market, or they are going to lose their butts. There was another article there about the new GXP, and how it is powerful, but still front drive. They just don't get it......everyone else is releasing powerful rear-drive cars, why can't gm?

pontiac had the most restrictive of the employee pricing... almost as deliberately designed to force low sales as an excuse for something ... the GTO's emp. discounts were one of the first to end...?
