      Ken,

I'll start spreadiong the word. My dad (Whom you have met many occasions) has an hawk enthusiast co-worker (FWB, FL)... My if not him, but someone else he knows would buy it.

BTW you might try the dupont registry, you may get a higher price there

I'll do my best to help ya out!

          Deal?

its actually more than that. with rescue consumming quite a bit of money as well as time, the car will never get driven... and to keep it tagged and insured to sit in a garage all the time....is not too money wise.

If you want to do tranny swaps, you might want to think about something a little more mainstream than the last 97 Hawk ever built. That would be a sin against F-body bretheren everywhere to do that to Ken's ride!!!

And Ken, you've waited this long, so I'll tell you again.

Scottsdale, AZ, Spring 06. Barrett-Jackson. That car will go for at LEAST double your asking price, while also helping out the f-body bretheren by being able to ask insane amounts of money for our cars as well. We all win with that deal!

No comprendo on the 6 speed swap, or the Barrett-Jackson? The 6 speed swap is a no brainer, you just don't do that to the last of anything. Barrett-Jackson had a WS6 LT1 drop top TA go for like 35g's, and all it had done was a couple of laps at Indy. That car also was not at Scottsdale, but at the one in Florida like a month later. Scottsdale is significantly higher for the same caliber vehicle. Your car should go significantly higher than that, especially at the Scottsdale event. It won't hurt to ask. Email or call and let them know that you're pondering having the car there. If they are interested, they will come see the car to make sure they want it on the blocks there (I've heard they have an interview process to even bring a car there). Considering the credentials, and the cleanliness, I think you'll probably get a Sunday daytime spot (they save the big dogs for Sunday night).

Look at it this way, Ken. You are keeping the miles off of her and keeping the value up. Keep her in mint condition, for another 10 years with minimal miles, then stick her on Barrett Jackson. Make a killing. JK But, the putting it on Barrett Jackson thing sounds like a good idea to me. Those guys can get a pretty penny for rare cars like that.
