  • I just about cried my eyes out!!!

Ok... so yesterday I was coming home from work and passed a white, 3rd gen firebird (don't know what year, didn't matter)... anyway... He was stopped at a red light in one lane and I was turning right, Obviously I looked over at the car and my jaw hit the pavement...

Old boy had a ricer exhaust the size of a dinner plate coming out the back end and to top it all off he had cut a square the size of the exhaust pipe out of his rear bumper, with, I promise to God, what looked like a buzz saw. It was all I could do to keep from rolling down the window and telling him to get out of the car, he didn't deserve to be driving it!!!

    WHAT THE HECK!?!?

Also one quick question so I don't have to post another thread...
As soon as I got the firebird, (my firebird that is, no i didn't steal old boy's) the next day I took it to have the oil changed... I had them convert to Mobil 1 10W30 which from what I have heard lately on here is the right thing to put in it, so, good for me... my question was, I know that with that kind of oil it's common belief that you can go 6,000 miles before a change instead of the regular 3k... It's been 1k since I got it changed and I just don't want to get to 3 before I think about it again, so would y'all recommend the regular 3 or wait til 6??

I change my oil every 3k...no exceptions. As for your oil, I would think it could last 5 or 6k without problems....but I wouldn't count on your filter lasting that long. The filter would definitely need to be changed IMO.

Personally, I just change it every 3k. I've done it since the first day I've owned my car and haven't had problems since.

Wanna make the trip to Cicero, IL??? If you thought that was shocking, lemme give you a quick run down of 4 f-bodies I see all of the time.

      1) 3rd gen camaro. Nice lines, no wing, no tip....the only thing about it is the paint job. Purple, pink, blue, and blueish green....complete with yellow/pink stars with stream lines coming out from behind them.

      2) 3rd gen camaro. The most horrific yellow/red paintjob ever. Yellow with the most cracked out red racing stripes that ever existed....then just random red painted lines on the sides. Fart cans coming out the back, as well as at least an 18 inch wing on the hatch.

      3) 3rd gen firebird. Rear bumper is torn to shreds...about 15% of it still exists. Different tires/rims on every wheel. The rear drivers is probably something like a 315 and the passengers side is like a 245. Basically...one tire is 70 mm wider than the other.

      4) 4th gen LS1 WS6 trans am. Torch red...beautiful.....except for the spinning dubs on all 4 corners.

Like I've stated before, I live in ricer central USA. If you think that's bad, don't even get me started with all the stock (except for tips, wings, stickers, etc...) naturally aspirated imports. I personally love the nissans that have stickers that say "Honda" in chinese lettering on them.

I cannot take credit for that joke. Someone said it on the local boards. Maybe if the word gets spread far enough someone will actually make some.

Thats the truth, my buddy has a SRT-4 with few mods and although it pulls my car on the highway I still tell him, "my sister drives a Neon bro". My philosophy is, if ya cant be fast then look fast.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up and totally worn out, loudly proclaiming......WOW WHAT A RIDE!!!
