Because foreign towels are often not made with 100% cotton, even though they may say they are...

scroll down to Dave's answer...also info about microfiber towels...

100% cotton, made in us. foreign 100% cotton isn't made by the same standards. That's why US is the way to go.

Don't use 70% polyester on your car.

              cotton

              100%

              made in USA.

              Do it.

cotton towels made across the pond have fillers in them.....ie: wood....and other scratching materials...

forget "polyester" and "nylon" when talking about micro fiber towels. only buy the premium micro fiber towels,..... here's what i use....

they come from Hawaii, the PakShak.

yes, they are 70% polyester and 30% polyamide. but...they are made with over 100,000 fibers per square inch....making them 10 times finer than silk!, up to 30 times finer than 100% cotton!!!!

they rock. thats all i have used on the gto ....and now im using them on the hawk....

Not to hijack, but speaking of those micro fiber towels from PakShak, I just got mine in, Ken. Thanks for the reccomendation! These things are great. I even have one I use on my DLP TV screen, which is even more delicate than a black car's gloss. They work awesome.

Do yourself a favor and order them. Completely worth it.

the micro fiber pics up the detail spray or cured polish better, it also works better on glass than anything you can use. all you need is distilled water.
