  • D-port and regular sbc headers?

Will I run into any problems running a D port head and regular tubular headers?

No, I think headers are always bigger than the exh port for anti-reversion reasons. My SLPs are rectangular as are all of the header gaskets I have used.

      DeW .

Are your Hedman... long tubes or shorties???? How do you like them? I need to get some long tubes for my IROC that is headed for road racing.
97 TA, M6, JBA ceramic coated headers, Borla Cat-back exhaust, 1.6 RR, 160 Thermo, LT4 knock sensor, CAI, Bils, Hotchkis all around, GT rotors, B&M shifter, Magnecor wires, Granatelli MAF
In the shop LT4 Intake and heads.

I got the shorties as I didnt want to deal with ground clearance problems and there are very very few long tube headers that work with a manual tranny. Be careful of that when buying them. Its usually a foot note. They tend to run to close to the slave cyl. and or the plastic line running to the slave from the master cyl.

While SS is better as it wont melt it still heat soaks and can cause problems with the oil boiling and or burning.

Before anyone picks at me about using third gen knowledge on a 4th gen I did not mean there was few LT headers for 4th gens that work with a manual, I was refering to my findings with looking for headers for a third gen. Many of the headers interfear with the bracket that holds the slave cyl.
