  • Firebird vs. School Bus

I'm still trying to figure out how, exactly, the car ended up in that position. First they say the car ran into the bus, but one of the kids on the bus says that the bus ran over the car.

Jeez that isa a really wierd position for car to end up in, i think the bus wouldve had to hit the car though and wedge it in against the road in order to pinch it like that. But i dunno for sure.

Lucky. Could have been worse. A testiment to how well these cars do to protect the occupants.

There is no doubt the bus turned left in front of the car. The reason that the car is like that is simple. The car tried to turn to go around the back of the bus, but it was too late. It hit the bus behind the back tires, and with the forward motion of the bus, the bumper caught the A-pillar and pulled the car up on two wheels. If the bus driver didn't stop where she did, it would have flipped the car on it's side and possibly even on the roof depending on how well the car was hooked on the bumper.
