9 grand!? Only 9 Grand!??? Someone is happy...I'd pay a lot more than that for a GNX with only 200 some odd miles...a lot more.

It was a legit GNX and not a clone? Don't those things go for upwards of $50,000?
Red 95 Trans Am: M6, Moroso CAI, Magnaflow, Spohn sway bars, back to life as of 2/15/10!!!
          SOLD- Kinda miss it

There is a local dealer around here that has had a GNX since they took delivery of it back in '87. It's got less than 20 miles on it, and the owner of the dealership turned down a $100,000 offer on it. Apparentley, he might bring it to Barrett-Jackson this year or next. That's the rumor anyway.

First, no way that a real GNX would go fo that dough unless it was a shell only. Only 547 GNXs were made. If the car even exists, it would likely be a GNX clone, like what I have. It looks like a GNX, right down to the cast aluminum GNX differential cover. Experts would know the differance but the average person wouldn't know it. I don't call it a real one, I advertise right away that it is a regular hardtop GN done as a GNX clone. I repeat there is no way, NO WAY that a real GNX is only going to sell at $9000 unless it has 250K miles and is missing the motor.

One way to tell for sure is to email eBay being the car is, in his words, "in ebay's possesion". If it truthfully is, they'll let you know. Either way, it sounds like one of those "I'm in Nigeria and can't hold onto $100,000 legally. If you send me your account number, I'll transfer it into your account and you can keep half" scams.

If it turns out he's lying, report him immediately.

Wouldn't even matter. All that can be forged anyway. There are even reproduction turbo covers and decals. What would matter is the VIN and taking posession of the car, keys and title upon handing over a check in person. If those stipulations can't exist, it's a scam.
