  • NFB:How hard should it be to down four of these drinks?

Their is a drink at one of the local clubs called Walk me home sweet Jesus. It is a mixed drink that comes served in a cup and if you can down 3 of them you get the fourth one free. One of my coworkers is saying it is next to impossible to drink four of them since one round is all it took to get him toasted. I looked online and couldn't find the exact name of the drink but found something close enough. Doesn't really look that bad.

    Ingredients
    1 oz Vodka
    1 oz Gin
    1 oz Light rum
    1 oz Tequila
    1 oz Triple sec
    1.5-2 oz Blue Curacao
    Medium splash Sour mix
    Medium splash 7-Up or sprite

Blue going down Blue coming up.

So how tough would it be to down four of these?

you've got the equivalent of about 5-6 shots of liquor in one of those drinks. 4 would then be 20-24 shots. I would think for most mortals that would be pretty hard. I'd be done after 1, but I hardly ever drink.

That's a variation of the Long Island Ice Tea. That will kick your butt.

Agreed... you're looking at 7 oz of hard stuff in one drink. Bars don't like to give away alcohol for free as that is their main income, so I'm guessing they set the limit at 3 and felt safe knowing it would be close to impossibl;e for someone to reach that number without passing out first.

thats a tough one. If someone were to make me attempt it i would eat something first to absorb some of the impact. But regardless, you will be hurting even if you manage to get 3 down. Might even pass out if attempting to chug that many shots in a short amount of time. Remember, alchohal is poison to the body. I'll stick with beer.

Try that all in a short time span and you're looking at a night full of stomach pumping fun...

I'm really pretty surprised that the local liquor commission allows a bar to have a "promotion" like that.

That's what I was thinking. I can drink about 2 of those if they're done right and 3 extra shots of tequila afterwards. Anything more than that is too much.

Sounds like something I'd like to try.

I once had a drink in a big plastic flowerpot at a place called Shenanigans in Tempe, AZ, and as I was drinking the second one, I knew it was too much. Another time, I had 'bloody beer' at a biker bar.

Back in college, (when I was heavier and much more accustomed to drinking) I had 7 Ice Teas one night. All I can say is Woah! I was pretty toast. I can't imagine 7 of those in a lightweight drinker. They would have to be praying to the porcelain god all night. All I can remember is Sumo wrestling at about 1:00 am with a few college roomates, but didn't end up sick. If I tried that now, I think I would be on the floor after 3 or 4.
