  • NFB: I swear, people really tick me off

    Some of you might remember, I posted 1-2 weeks ago wanting some buying advice. Well, I found my car. It's a NBM 2000 Trans Am WS6 with only 17000 miles. Great car and I've been driving the heck out of it. Well onto my story.

    Last night I went over to one of my buddies dorm rooms with a few other guys to play poker. I was in there about 2 hours or so. Well, I go to leave, get in my car and drive home. Well, when I go to pick up my brother from school this afternoon, he tells me, "Hey, you've got something white on the passenger door. I tried to get it off but I couldn't." I immediately got that sick feeling in my stomach and I went to go check it out. Sure enough, there are about 4 rather large and deep scratches down the length of my passenger door. These scratches are all the way down to the metal. I feel like I'm gonna be sick. I haven't even had the car for 4 days and someone has already screwed it up.

    [RANT] Why the **** do some people do this? What if it was they're car? I wish I could trace it down to one person and I would go pay them a visit right now, tire iron in hand. Somebody would pay for this one way or another. I'm so ****ed off right now I can't even think straight. They didn't even have the decency to leave a note with their phone number or anything! Sometimes I just really hate human beings. [/RANT]

    People are Jerks... And for future reference, the doors on these cars are not metal. Call your insurance Co and report it. It might be covered under your policy.

      Well, the scratches are all the way down to whatever they are made of, all the way through the paint. The only thing about making a claim, wouldn't that make my insurance go up? Right now, I have a perfect driving record, no tickets or accidents of any kind.

            Get used to it bro.... it won't be the last time. People can be real jerks. It's usually because of jealousy. That is what insurance is for.

              Sorry bro, I know it's painful. It was spray paint and sugar in the tank for me. I think these "things" (not people) are just jealous of our cars, or just need a serious beating

                Urchins more like. Or maybe blemishes on the face of society. Either way I'll be more than happy to supply the worst beating of their lives should I catch one in the act next time.

                The thing that really makes me mad though, this car was almost mint, besides the paint swirls. Nothing a little Zaino couldn't fix. Not now though.

                  Man thats blows... A drunk or jealous college kid is most likely the suspect. Get it fixed and forget about it. My sophomore year someone backed into my rear quarter panel. no note nothing....

                  Post some pics of the car though! (not the scratches though)

                      NBM = Navy Blue Metallic

                      Pics do this color no justice. It is absolutely beautiful. It has the beauty of black with the "pop" of the metal flake added in. I'll try to get some pics of it, though I'm moving off to school tommorow and prolly won't havce time to until this weekend.

                        I have no idea what college you are talking about but I go to Shippensburg University and know that they have every square inch of campus covered by cameras. It may not hurt you to try talking to campus security.

                            I feel for ya. As many have already stated... it's pure jealousy and outright disrespect for other people's property. Whoever did it will get theirs.
