    Well, here's all I could find from the VA DMV website concerning a front plate:

    Virginia license plates must be displayed on the vehicle so that all wording, numbers and decals are completely visible and readable.
    I just wanted to know if this is the same wording being used to place the front plate on the lower air dam.

    thats the law i printed out in 1999, took with me to the local va. state police headquarters, had a trooper look at the front plate on the Hawk...and sign the last ticket mary got for "no front tag" as now the car being OK.......

    it meets the law.
