Me and my friend curtis decided the other day to see who's car was hevier. As per my sig I have a 89 formula and he has a 76 Stingray L-48. His car tiped the scales at 1540 KG or 3388 lbs and mine was 1570 Kg or 3454 lbs. I was kind of surprised that his car was that heavy as it only has power windows and t-tops. My car is loaded except for leather. I was wondering what everyone elses cars were for weight. Also does anyone else know weights for other vettes in other years?

Even without the A/C and running light weight racing wheels, mine was 3,760# on the certified scale at the local track. Even with removing virtually every part that isn't welded in, its only down to 3,635#. That's with me in it (185#).Fred

3660 verified at the track with me in it using the Centerlines w/Drag Radials, and only a few gallons of gas in it.
Only weight reduction from stock is No rear seat back, no Visors, Centerline Rims, and a Vigilante Stall converter. (Of course I've added a DS Loop, Subframe Connectors, STB, full nitrous kit) That weight includes spare tire & jack, full 15LB Nitrous bottle.

I remember weighing my car at E-town in 03 for SLP Day. #3340 w/ me in it does sound a little low though. Took out the spare tire, floor mats, and the pass air bag. Also I probably weighed like 158 back then too. I wonder if I take it to a trucker stop....1995 Firebird Formula

Both my weights were taken on the E'town scale, and both of them fairly soon after they were certified for the NHRA Nationals. A lot of people complain that the E'town scales read way heavy. But that doesn't seem to be the case for your car.
The company I work for has an NJDOT certified scale at their plant in Jackson..... maybe worth a trailer tow down there to see what is weighs.Fred
