Ya beat me to it. A good rule of thumb to judge kph by is 60mph = about 100Kph. 30mph is roughly 50Kph. So, do the math and the most he hit was about 175mph when he was getting close to 190Kph.

I had to figure all this out when I brought my Camaro up here to Canada with the speedo in miles per hour. LOL So, I have all the normal speed limits all calculated in my head.

That looks like too much fun....probably one of the reasons why I will refuse to buy myself a bike until I get waaaaaay better at riding.

Kph or not...I couldn't imagine being on a bike, looking down, and seeing a speedo read 299

One other thing strange about the video is that although there were a lot of cars coming the other way, he never approached the rear of a car going the same direction, which would have been likely at 170+ mph. So, either no other vehicles were on the road going his way, or else the speed was doctored.

I don't know if it's so much of the speed being doctored, but probably he has 1 or 2 teeth down on the front and maybe 1 or 2 up in the rear without using a speedo correction device. In f-body terms, that would be like taking a 6 speed 3.42 car and putting 4.56 in it without reprogramming the computer. The tranny (speedo) thinks you're going 170 MPH, but you're really only going about 120.

I don't mean to rain on anyone's parade or anything, but judging purely from the speed other cars were going (around 50kph), how quickly he was passing them by, and how quickly he was going down the road, I'd have to say he never went faster than 120 mph. Still stupid fast for a twisty mountain road with a decent flow of traffic, just not what he's claiming
