  • oil pressure question

How do I change the oil pressure sending unit on a 94 trans am gt w/ a 5.7l? Do I have to pull the intake to reach the sensor or just find someone with really small hands?

No you don't. Go to the local car parts store and look through their tools. They make a special deep well socket for the oil pressure sending unit. It is 1 1/16" and it is deeper than a normal deep well. You'll need a 3" extension and it will come right out.

The hard part is getting the new one to thread in. It took me like an hour to get mine started. Small hands would help. Mine are not.
