  • New Carbon Fiber Interior Stuff (pics)

Hey guys i talked to a guy about doing some carbon fiber stuff for the interior and this is what he could do at the moment. I also am getting the gauge bezel and fuse covers under the hood when they are done. Once he is capable of wraping carbon fiber i will do the rest of the interior. Here are some pics and his website.

Take shots from further away, too close and you can't tell. The quality of it doesn't look too great. I would think I could do as good of a job myself. Doesn't look professional IMO. The cut around your dimmer switch and stuff.

    Need distance pics tho

I've never understood the fascination with making little parts like that from CF. I've seen some Porsche race cars with entire bodies made from CF, now that is impressive, but very expensive. The body was $80,000 plus installation! The entire point of CF is weight savings. I cannot see replacing a couple parts inside the car being of any benefit. Using CF as an appearance mod is really not the way it is meant to be used. It's kind of ricey IMO.

I like it! To me carbon fiber is tough and ricey is stuff like clear or bright colors. I really like the carbon fiber look, however if you really wanted that look you shoulda just bought soe decal sheets of it. Woulda saved you lot s of money.

so placing stickers on your car that look like carbon fiber is not rice?

I kinda like CF too, but I can't see replacing the faceplates on your switches....... you can no longer read the panel. Now, if someone were to make a CF Dash bezel, that might be a different story.

                    Trace,
Once installed you cannot tell they are stickers and I know of a guy here who can print on the sticker so that you can still have stuff like the printing and the dial idicators. Now putting stuff like Greedy and K&N stickers all over is certainly rice. Just my opinion, I dont hate ya cuz you dont like CF.

I don't like the carbon fiber look. To each their own.

Cool watch wolfie. Expensive. Here is my current watch.

I've really enjoyed it. I like it because it shows UTC time so I can look at the radars that show UTC time and know what time it is without trying to add whether we are on DST or not to figure whether we are 4 or 5 hours behind. Whatever right.

Here is my Christmas list watch. http://www.seikousa.com/Product.aspx?productId=431 I like the digital and analog watches.

                        Could this be a hijacking?
