  • third and fourth gens swaps

my sill plates on my 82 t/a are done for, so i've removed them. i found a pair of sill plates for a 4th gen f-body for sale. I know a number of parts that are compatible between gens. Will the 4th gen sill plates fit? Thanks.

They'll fit. You'll have to cut some to clear the floor retractor or better yet, go ahead and get the 4th gen belts too, they work a lot better and IMO looks a lot cleaner without that retractor on the floor.
