  • polishing an Ls-1?

    so is their anything u can use to shine it up? ive seen pics of blocks shined up pretty nice they looked like their chrome but i donno if u can do it while completly assembled... anybody know? thanks.

    I'm sure you can polish it while assembled if it is out of the car, but I'm learning just how much work a polished aluminum surface takes. I have a spare intake plenum for my car that I decided to polish. I've ground half the mold seams off and started sanding the cast surface smooth to prep for polishing. I've got 4 hours of work in it and I'm only half way to even being ready to start to polish! I can't imagine how long doing an engine block would take!
