    When I bought my car I noticed both drivers and passenger windows were scratched on the outside.. Ive noticed a few f-bodys with this fault, there is obviousy a common fault? or a guide falls off? If I slam my door with window down It rattles like mad (cringe time) one of those moments were ya sure its gonna brake! So is somethin loose? guide missing? common fault & live with it?
    Is there any way of removing deep scratches? Iknow chips can be repaired..
    Finally the reason I want to sort this problem is because im interested in tinting my windows, I dont want scratches all over them! or the tint scratching off!

    The felt window guides probably broke off. It happened to me too! It's a common problem that's pretty easy to fix. The parts are under $10 and less than an hour of your time to put in!

      sounds good! anyone got a link for me to find these felt guides? (im in uk so mail order) how do i fix the scratches?

        The tint goes on the inside so it won't get scratched or peel off.

          GM p/ns for 1993-2002 all F-body outer window seal on top of door

          The rubber on the outside of the door has the bumpers in them. They now have a new design with longer/better bumpers.
