Does anybody know of a vendor who sells (if available) a bell housing for a t56 tranny for a Pontiac big block?

    Interesting reading.

There is some info here you might find useful. http://www.5speedtransmission.com/

I thought I knew where you can get an adapter but I can't find it now. Isn't the Pontiac block bolt pattern different than the Chevy.

McLeod sells a modular SFI-rated explosion proof bell housing that will adapt the T56 to virtually any existing engine. You must use either the Viper or LS1 T56, it won't work with the LT1 T56 because of the pull-back clutch design used in the LT1.
