  • Newbie... Almost ready to get Camaro V6... just wondering what the rally sport...

I was just wondering what the rallie sport package included...
I have three choices of camaros and my final choice is a 2001 Camaro base V6 with the rally sport package ground effects and all included... Is that all the Rally sport package was was a kit and wing add on pieces...?

    Thanks

My advice to you is if you don't mind having a v6 go for it but if you've even thought about the v8 wait and save a little more or just get a later year. I have had a few friends who bought v6s then ended up selling them just after driving the v8s and realizing it was just a totally different car. Don't get me wrong the 6cyls aren't bad cars they run well and have a decent amount of pep to them but they just don't compare the the v8s.

hey Mara, yes, a V8 would be great...i know, i started out with one and had a few V6s in my time...yes they are two different cars...but some just can't afford it. Nothing wrong with a V6 f-body...I'm just glad you're jumping on the ship. If and when you get it, be proud and take care of it...oh don't forget to enjoy.

From what I remember it was just the ground effects and wing... And an RS emblem. Added weight to slow you down, IMHO. I also think camaros look better without the RS stuff. It's also a dead givaway you have a v6.

If you think it looks good, that is great. This is just my opinion

not exactly...seen a couple of Z28 with the "Aero" kit...gotta take a closer look to tell if it's a V6 or not sometimes... Personally, I like the "aero" kit look...think it looks better than a base or z28 that don't have the kit...

              Thanks yal...

The V6 I got doesn't have the kit but it does have the everything that one had... So I break even by getting the one I did (that does NOT have the kit) than getting the other one... My navy blue metallic with tan interior is nice and sporty looking without the kit and I plan on enjoying it that way and take care of it (especially the paint job) without the kit... And may be when it is paid off, I will get the kit and upgrade engines to a 427ci engine...

Thanks yal for the advice and assistance...
