  • AC Delco Oil Filter part number???

Does anybody know the Delco part number for the 1 quart oil filter for LT1's? I thought it was PF1218, but when I picked one up from the parts store it looked smaller and shorter than I remember.

You are correct. They changed the size, but kept the same part number. I was confused too when I bought it. When you look internally, it looks slightly different too. I've been using it for a couple weeks without a problem though.

The stock filter is the PF25 for the small block and then there is the PF35 wich I use for my Formula that is used on the old big block trucks. It holds a least a quart of oil. The stock ones are just way too small. Use the PF35L or equivelant now. You'll get more filtering capacity.

As far as I know, the PF25, PF35 and PF35L have been discontinued for some time. They are still available from many sources thuogh, at least until the supply runs out. The larger PF35 was equivalent to the PF1218, and the synthetic media PF35L to the UPF1218. I used the UPF1218 for a while, but then that too was discontinued.

              Currently using the Moroso 22460:

                Fred,

It doesn't list pricing, or a dealer near Chicago, IL 60634.

You can get the Moroso from Summit and JEG's. Not cheap though.... I think around $13.95.

Another alternative not mentioned above would be the Mobil 1 filter.

                    Yep I think my Mobil 1 filter is a 111 or 101.

Might have to try that one, the one on my car is a M1-111.

Actually I think its a M1-302 for a PF35 equivelant. That is what I use.
