e-cutout question...

i am going to be buying a dmh electric cutout, my pipe is 2 and 3/4 inches in diameter before the muffler. the dmh cutout is gonna be 3 inches in diameter. will this be able to be welded on without problems? just curious before i order it.

a decent to good muffler shop should have no problem fabbing some short pipe to adapt the cut out to the right size.
