  • "Lean" question for the Pro's!

    Ok,

    Tonight the check engine light came on. I ran the codes, and 3 appeared. All said the car was running to LEAN.

    My question(s) are this:

    Number 1 :

    1) Is this because I ported the MAF? (yea, I know... probably shouldn't have done this... )
    2) Or maybe because I just got a tune done?
    3) Possibly both?
    4) Something completely different?

    Number 2 :

    Next question is...... How would I go about fixin this??

    post the codes and we can give you a better idea.

      Ditto..... can't understand why you don't just post the codes. The "Pro's" will not blindly accept the info that may have been taken from an unreliable source or has been misinterpreted or misstated.

        Where can I find a code listing? I'll go through that, find the exact codes, and post them.

        My neighbor has the scanner tool, and he's gone today. We looked at the codes last night, so if I see them, I'll remember.

          Shoebox has both OBD-I and OBD-II (check the tabs at the bottom of the screen) code lists, that are specifc to the LT1 F-Bodies.

            Shady, your codes are likely "P" codes.

              I'm going to wait to get the check engine again, and I'll capture the codes, and get back to you.
