  • Replacing heater hoses

    Hey guys,

I've got a '95 TA with several pinholes in the heater hose. I got the new hose assembly from the dealership today and I'm going to replace it tomorrow. Can anybody tell me the best way to get the old hoses off and the new ones on. Will I need to move the alternator out of the way? Is it easier to go at it from the top or underneath? etc....

    Thanks,
    Dan

i did mine from the top last year, i didnt disconnect or remove anything but it was kinda tricky to snake the new hoses in. just remember the way you take it out and install it in reverse order and you should be fine. good luck.

You'll have to decide if its easier from top or bottom you may have to go at it both ways. For the clamps I always spray them with wd-40 then use a pair of channel lock plyers this seems to be the easiest way to get them to slide. Like drop top Z said make sure you pay attention to the way it came out that'll make installing it so much easier. You shouldn't have to remove anything but be sure to fill back up the coolant you loose and bleed the air out of your system.
