  • New Suspension Help

Sometime by spring I plan on getting new suspension for my 1997 Pontiac Firebird (V6). As of now I am doing the research early so I know what I want. I want to lower my car to give it a more agressive look and to increase handling. The three brands I have been looking at so far are Eibach, Edelbrock and H&R. Now I am trying to strike a balance between handling and ride comfort though I really do want to get my car lowered as far as 1.8-2 inches. Now I am not just getting springs but shocks as well. I was able to find Eibach Sportline springs for my car that I had planned to combine with Edelbrock Shocks but I was *warned* that my car was gonna bottom out with the kit. (Now I must add that my car came equipped with the "sports appearance package" as can be seen on my signature, so I have the full ground effects and all that add more to the bottom of the car...) So now that leaves me with moderate lowering springs to choose from: Eibach Pro Kit with 1in or preferably H&R with 1.4 in for the front and 1.3 in for the back. What I am asking anyone who knows is, will my car bottom out with Eibach Sportline springs or is this not entirely true?! If anyone has other comments to make to the fact then go ahead. I am just researching this right now before I commit myself so any suggestions would be helpful thank you!

I was already on another topic reguarding suspension help and I read about Intrax. I am going to look into them but thank you! I have never heard of Intrax but I guess I have blown by it before as I have only heard of the biggies my friends mention (H&R, Eibach, and Edelbrock).
