  • Steering Issues/Treble

Recently I been having excessive Steering Wheel Trembling from 45-60 miles an hour, it's ok at lower speeds. I recently sent it out for a wheel balancing, didn't fix the issue. Only recent thing I did was change the brakes with the same mechanics, thats all. I also feel the steering wheel to be more loose, and it moves alot when hitting loose gravel, pot holes/ect. Any suggestions?

    thanks for future replies

I would first check to make sure the rack assembly bolts are tight. Sometimes they loosen and that would account for a sudden loss of steering tightness. There can also be wear in the tie rod ends, steering shaft coupler, ball joints. The steering wheel shimmy is likely happening because of the new found braking power, and some other componant in the suspension really gets pushed. You are feeling the result of it in the wheel.
