  • Plugs and wires question again....

Would I be better off getting plugs and wires from Dal or would Autozone have them. I am gonna get the AC Delco ones. Also I need a coil wire that goes to the opti. I figure I can get that cheaply at autozone. Do you guys think I should also replace the coil at 105,xxx miles? Thanks

Wasn't there a post here a while back about the platnum tips falling off the AC Delco plugs?

Yeah, there have been reports of that....Mine held up good for 80,000. They're dang expensive though.......

I used AC Delco Rapidfire 3 platinum. I've been happy using those and stock plug wires, although I do run an MSD6A.

I have talked to numerous people that have had trouble with the platinum plugs, as well as myself!

I prefer the NGK plugs. They hold up well and they are much cheaper.

Also if you buy a set of plug wires, it should include the coil wire too. At least all the ones I have bought have.
