  • broke tranny gear

95 3.4L 5 speed tranny, main shaft gear broke some pins, i was wondering what is the tranny model name number so i can try to look for it, as well as other vehicles with similar transmissions, like a 2WD jimmy or blazer in case i dont find a camaro tarnny in the area, i know the ratios might be diff, but i might not have much of a choice.

It's a T-5 for a 4th gen V6. I happen to have one sitting in storage that needs second gear syncros. You could rob the good parts from it, or build one good tranny out of the two.

They list the 93-95 and the 96-99 separately. I don't know if there is a difference except for the price.

Oh you can put 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear synchro in a T5 very easily. 4Th gear requires a press to remove the gear.

      Synchros are about $20 each.

seriously would the 89-92 fit? how much diff in the drive ratios am i gonna experience? more low end or top end? or would each gear differ, i tried searching the net forever to find the gear ratios n just cant find it.
i dont think ill find anything close other then this 90 T5 tranny. the inline shaft is whats broken so i cant realy rig it i dont think.
