  • fog light unit, help here guys....

    got a call from the mother of a old f body patron of this forum. seems he's into trucks now, and his Dad has his 97 TA. the broke the lens on one of the fog lights. they are looking for a replacement. they ordere a replacement from the dealer 2 months ago, the dealer now says there are availbable anywhere. they have been on the net, cant find one.

    help. any suggestions? the need the unit.

    Best I can do is, I have two here but they both have the same problem. The bulb melted the back of it and the glass has some sand damage on it. I can take pictures of it if needed. Wasn't sure if it was possible to swap the glass out on them. All I would want is shipping for it not lookin for anything.

      These lights have an outside diameter of 4.75" and fit very nicely. They also
      mount to the existing bracket, upside down...making installation easy. These lights are better than my highbeams. 100 watts are great, just keep them aimed a little low.

        I actually had the same problem. I took out the uncracked lens of one of my fog lights and took it to the local glass company and had them trace it and they made me 2 new ones. They are curved though they are just flat round pieces of glass but they have been in for about 2 years and no cracks or chips. Just a thought.
