I want to use a larger tire/ rim. How much larger can I go before it trips the engine light?

If you put the right tires on the wheels, there will be no affect whatsoever on the PCM. Its the outside diameter of the tire that affects the speedo, not the wheel diameter or wheel width.
Might want to add some basic info, like the year/model of the car, stock wheel and tire size, etc., or the answers you get will be sort of meaningless.Fred
