Convertal pump motor

Simple question. How do I had hydrolic fluid to and what type do I need for
my 95 firbird convertal pump motor?

Lower the top.

Put a towel around the pump filler area in case of spills.

Remove filler plug and add 10W mineral oil until level is between upper and lower indicator lines.

Replace filler plug.

Cycle the top up and down several times and check the level again in the down position.

Add any fluid if necessary.

I went to O'reily's and advance auto and neither new what I was talking about when I asked for 10w mineral oil and didn't have anything that they new could substitute for it. Any Idea where I might find this? Is it something I would have to get at a hardware store?

You should be able to purchase the 10w oil for supply houses to serve foreign cars. The BMW's that require mineral oil for their hydraulics require this.
