  • car pulls left

ever since i bought the TA it pulled left, even after an alignment, and a couple afterwards, it still pulls left. I could live with it awhile ago, but it's gotten worse.

the "on center" feel of the steering wheel is right where it should be. it's dead center, but I have to hold the wheel to the right about 10-15* to keep her straight.

Any ideas where I should look into next? Brakes are fine... could it be the hub?

Just wondering does it pull left when you brake,or when you are cruzzzn. You said your brakes are fine, check to see if your left brakes are releasing and the sliders are free. Also check for a broken tred belt on your tire.

both...crusing and braking...of course when I brake the pulling is amplified. tires are perfect...no unsual wear. I have them rotated a balanced every 6K miles.

Hmmmm...I'm not the best with this, but I'm gonna try and make my best guesses based on what I know about cars.

You said your tires are good (tire pressure and even tread wear)...how about your tie rods. I would think a slight positive or negative toe could create this.

wouldn't an alignment had fixed that? come to think about it...the driver side tires do have a lil more wear on the outside thread blocks. it doesnt look unusual until you compare it the passenger side tires.

I would get under there and just take a look for piece of mind. The fact that there is excessive wear on the driver's side is indicated that this might be true.

To tell you the truth, I have never worked an alignment machine. I've seen my buddy do it at his work. Puts in on a rack, types some stuff in, and there it goes. I would think it takes care of it, but the key work there is think. You also never know also who is operating those racks

Gimme a month, I'm leaving for auto school on wednesday, then I'll hook u up

When you get an alignment done, both casper/camber,toe in/out are done.Would a broken spring have anything to do with it.

Its caster, not casper the friendly ghost. Sounds like a bad alignment job, or possibly a bent tie rod

Actually it sounds like a bad ball joint to me. Alignment shops normally check and adjust camber, caster and toe. But don't just assume they are, because alot of them will just adjust your toe and gladly accept your money.

Check your tie-rods, hopefully thats it... if not it could be your whole wrack, that was the problem with mine ... same symptons.

i assume your have directonal tread pattern tires on there, right? rotate the front tires to the rear and rear to front...and drive it. it could be a conicity problem with one of your tires. if it still does it...then you know its not that, but it just might be......

we can rule out the tires...I had the same problem with my 450s. I religously rotate and balance my tires and regardless of which on is up front or back, it pulls left.

I'm thinking it's my tie-rods. I'll have it it realigned and see what happens. Hopefully, I can get this pull to stop.

heres how to check it urself. put the car on a level surface, make sure the wheel is str8. then take a tape measure, measure across teh front of the two tires at a point(like the middle of the tire, halfway up) then do the same on the back, subtract the number and that tells u if ur +/-.
