If it has what he says it does, it's possible. Email him and ask for copies of dyno sheets. If he doesn't have any,ask how he knows it's 700+ hp. A car like that would have to have been dyno tuned,I would think.

I agree with Dave on this one; either way, that is a badass T/A.

Why would any of you doubt 700 flywheel HP on a D1-SC assisted 408 LS1??? That is mild for a D1-SC on a built 408 LS1. With only 700 at the flywheel, he probably has a very streeetable cam and heads setup, so it would be 100% streetable.

Why would it need a dry shot? 408 cubic inches of LS1, and the ATI "Procharger D-1SC blower with a custom front mount intercooler and SDCE 8-rib belt tensioner system" can easilly produce 700 flywheel HP. Buddy of mine made 1,125HP on a 383 LT1 with a Vortech S/C. And it was still "streetable".... although the blower whine was a bit of a give away.

The whole setup look authentic to me.

I'm wondering if you're being sarcastic because if I saw any T/A with a front mounted intercooler like that I would assume rediculous speed.

I think is what he meant is that the car looks essentially stock. And it's not like the intercooler is just totally visible. You would have to be looking at the car from a frontal angle to notice it:

That's true, the blower whine would definatly give it away though. those centrifugal blowers are loud at idle.

Well not quite. Have you ever heard a the self contained units from ProCharger? They are not near as loud as you think.

Here is an Impala with a D-1SC assisted 383 on the dyno at Combination Motorsports. You can barely hear the supercharger and that is inside the shop, on the street it is even less noticeable:
