  • Trans Am headlamp door loose - how to fix?

The passenger side headlamp door motor was recently replaced in my '98 Trans Am, and now I notice that the door -- after it has opened -- is a little bit loose. The driver's side headlamp door is rigid and has no play at all when it's open, but the passenger door can be wiggled a little bit up and down. It also sags a few millimeters, just enough to point the passenger side lamp significantly further downwards. I compensated by adjusting the headlight aiming screws, but the door shakes pretty bad when I drive (I can see it in the reflection of the light on the pavement).

I took a look at it, but I'm not very mechanically inclined and can't figure out what needs to be adjusted or tightened in order to fix this. I tried pulling the fuse and turning the crank to see if the passenger headlamp door would open up any further, but it would not. Anybody got any clues? I'd just take it back to the guy who did the work, but I'd rather try to avoid the hassle if I can. It seems like it'd be an easy fix...I hope.

    Thanks in advance.
