which is better? The richmond is more $$, but I thought I heard before that motive was quieter and just as good. Or was it the other way around?

I think you'll find the majority on this board will recommend Motives. They are strong and quiet. I've made the mistake of going NON Motive and I won't do that again.LS15 Power! Another LSx engine coming soon.

I tried richmond 4.10 gears, they were extremely loud, no matter what setup was tried.I couldnt take it anymore so i went with a GM 3.73 and much better.

I had a richmond 3.73 in the 98 TA i just wrecked. They were way too loud for everyday driving and would go with motives if I had to do it over. BTW the tranny shop I go to now also recomends the motives.98 z-71 silverado white
