  • richmond or motive?

    which is better? The richmond is more $$, but I thought I heard before that motive was quieter and just as good. Or was it the other way around?

    I think you'll find the majority on this board will recommend Motives. They are strong and quiet. I've made the mistake of going NON Motive and I won't do that again.

      I tried richmond 4.10 gears, they were extremely loud, no matter what setup was tried.I couldnt take it anymore so i went with a GM 3.73 and much better.
      95 trans am, golen engine 383 ,140k,6spd, procharger 12psi supercharger,racetronix fuel pump, 58mm BBK throttlebody,hooker long tubes,crane HI6-DSR ignition box,crane ps-92 ignition coil ,true duals, 60lb injectors,3.73 GM gears,csr electric water pump,edelbrock strut tower brace,descreened maf,ls1 aluminum drive shaft,centerforce clutch,accel extreme heat wires,lt4 knock sensor,autolite 104s ,hurst short throw shifter,8-01-05- 02 frt end and taillights,ws6 rims,shiny black paint job!!.

        I had a richmond 3.73 in the 98 TA i just wrecked. They were way too loud for everyday driving and would go with motives if I had to do it over. BTW the tranny shop I go to now also recomends the motives.

            Motive's all the way. Just dropped 4.11's in my ride, and I absolutely love em.
