the radiator in my 94 cracked in the same place this spring. It's typical.

I wouldn't of put any stop leak in it, though. I've heard that stuff is bad for the rest of the cooling system.

You might want to consider replacing it yourself, it's pretty easy.

Add mine as another one to the list. About 3 inches below the filler neck in the front. Why doesn't GM make the plastic tanks on the side replaceable?

Yes my third gen did that but any radiator shop can replace that part for about $50.00 an you are on your way. An ask sometimes they can replace it with brass.Hope this helps. Blazer

I wish I would have known that. I just took mine to the local "radiator expert" and he told me that GM didn't sell replacement tanks for firebirds and the only way he could replace it would be by using one off of a used raditor which I didn't like the sound of so I payed $180 for a new one. I guess you live and you learn .

thats wicked interesting i didnt think the side tanks were replaceable, oh well ordered a new radiator for 150 installing some gyear hi miler hoses too. i really wanted an aluminum radiator from becool, however im confused, they claim that certain radiators support different hp levels over oem replacements....
