  • Falken vs Kumho in Snow

Are Falken all season tires any better in the snow then Kumho summer tires? (I have Kumhos on now that are about at the tread wear line - I know these aren't great tires, but will the Falkens hurt me anymore in performance then these?) Need new tires soon might get them around December before the snow comes. Mild winters here, but still get very little amounts of occassional snow that mess the roads up for a short period of time. Seems like Falkens are the only tire I can find in 255-50ZR-16. How can an all season tire be ZR rated?

I have a 94 formula firebird and another guy in the shop has a 95 v6 firebird. Last winter we both had about 150ish lbs in the back for weight. I had snow tires and he just had his normal tires. I managed to drive my car home everynight he had to park his for over a week. I would pick the Falkens over the summer tires any day (if they have the same amount of tread) but you should realy get at least 2 snow tires if you plan on driving the car in the snow they realy do make a huge diffrence not only driving in snow but also stopping in it.

I have a lot of experience with V8 Fbodies in the snow and the best tire I have seen by far is the Dunlop M3 snow. I found them on Tire rack and the price is rather attractive I thought....
